CONY Sports Boosters

They are helping the Center by rebuilding 2 of our 3 bridges and upgrading trails for the combined use by CONY and Hodgkins students for their track and Nordic skiing programs and the Nature Center visitor experience.

Kennebec Soil and Water

They will undertake the correction of water diversion problems caused by changes to the changes in topography related to the CONY construction.

City of Augusta
The City will supply trail and bridge design services as well as trail surface materials for the upgrade.

Augusta Sanitary District
The Sanitary District has supplied coarse gravel underlay materials to harden the Whitney Brook trail to minimize damages to the trail as they complete their jet cleaning of their pipes every five years.

Department of Conservation (DOC)
The DOC off road vehicle office made available their specialized heavy trail construction equipment to reconfigure the steep dangerous trail that exits the Amphitheater.

Maine Conservation Corp (MCC)
The Corp is providing both volunteer and trail design services. They are also establishing a rock step cutting outdoor classroom for their supervisors to learn the how-to-safely-do-it before they are dispatched to construct this type of steps across Maine.

Augusta Nature Camp
The Augusta Nature Camp will continue to hold their summer Camp for children within the Nature Center. The Nature Camp will be headquartered in the Vocational building. For information or a pamphlet about the Nature Camp, email Sirabella at basbella@hotmail.com.

Denis Courier of Courier Signs of Chelsea will provide the entry signs for each of the sponsored entrances.

Capitol Area Vocational Technical Center

The Vocational Center constructed the kiosks as part of student carpentry education.
