Great Resources

Great Places

Great Sponsors
Our success with the on-going upgrades and maintenance efforts within the Center would not be possible without these great sponsors:

CONY Sports Boosters
They are helping the Center by rebuilding 2 of our 3 bridges and upgrading trails for the use by CONY for their track and Nordic skiing programs and the Nature Center visitor experience.

City of Augusta
The City will supply trail and bridge design services as well as trail surface materials for the upgrade.

Augusta Sanitary District
The Sanitary District has supplied coarse gravel underlay materials to harden the Whitney Brook trail to minimize damages to the trail as they complete their jet cleaning of their pipes every five years.

Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF)
The DACF off road vehicle office made available their specialized heavy trail construction equipment to reconfigure the steep dangerous trail that exits the Amphitheater.

Kennebec Soil and Water
They will address the correction of water diversion problems caused by changes to the topography related to the CONY construction.

Maine Conservation Corps (MCC)
The Corp is providing both volunteer and trail design services. They are also establishing a rock step cutting outdoor classroom for their supervisors to learn how-to-safely-do-it before they are dispatched to construct these types of steps across Maine.

Capitol Area Vocational Technical Center
The Vocational Center constructed the kiosks as part of student carpentry education.

Kents Hill School
Twice a year, for many years, Kents Hill School has dedicated a "day of caring" to the Nature Center. The students have pushed many wheelbarrows of stone dust on access trails to the South Bridge, the South Brookside Trail, and the trail to Deadmans Cave. We are very grateful.

Marketplace at Augusta
Sponsored the creation of our new Trail Map!

Augusta Kiwanis Club
Many thanks to them for sponsoring the construction of one of our entry kiosks!

Carrier Signs
Denis Carrier: Carrier Signs of Chelsea will provide the entry signs for each of the sponsored entrances.

Thank you to Peter J Mendall for sponsoring our Domain Name Registration and Web Hosting Storage and to Scott McNeill for managing our website.
